Your Travel Guide, Liz Roberts
Hello and welcome to travel with Happy Wanderer! I am thrilled to have you join me in the wonderful and surprising world of group travel.
I first started traveling internationally when I was 20 years old. It was 1995 and I couldn’t find a friend to join me so I packed my backpack and bought a one way ticket to Germany. On my own, I traveled through Germany, Sweden, Russia, Holland, and Switzerland--visiting good friends along the way. My love for travel has only grown and I now spend about half my time abroad. Between trips, I spend my days with my daughter and grandkids that live in Switzerland.
What travel with Happy Wanderer is like:
I take care of all travel plans including flights, hotel stays, and transportation. I also book all excursions and other activities well in advance, and you will have access to your trip itinerary weeks before departure. If you desire it, you can spend every moment with the group, however, if you would like to venture off on your own, you are more than welcome to! I will help you find unique experiences, restaurants, activities, etc., etc. My only requirement is that you do EXACTLY what you want and have the absolute best trip possible.

"I just got back from a trip to Switzerland with Liz, our Happy Wanderer, and I'm still floating on Cloud Nine because the trip was so Fun and Amazing! It was great to experience the food, the culture, and see all the sights. EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING! From day one, even before the trip started, Liz had all the details taken care of from the planned itinerary, travel details, bus schedules, tour tickets ect. I wondered if she got any sleep at night because of all the details she had taken care of. YET, she also made sure that the trip was as flexible as we wanted, including adding excursions that were tailored specifically to us. Every single day was a new adventure that I loved! BUT THE VERY BEST PART OF THE TRIP WAS THE FRIENDSHIPS AND LAUGHS AND FUN THAT WE HAD AND WERE MADE. Liz carries a spirit of enthusiasm that makes every day a great time. It was the best travel experience ever. My heart is still so full!"

My wife and 2 of my kids went to Switzerland with Liz (Oct 2024) and had such an amazing set of experiences. The places she showed us and the extra things, like sharing favorite treats and telling fun stories and taking time to visit with everyone to make sure we were all having a fantastic time, made it just a perfect vacation. We already have plans to join Liz on other trips, and hopefully will get to go to Ireland next year.

Never having traveled to Europe or with a tour group, we weren't sure what to expect. Experiencing the rich history and beauty of Switzerland was beyond our expectations. We loved our Switzerland trip with Liz!! It was well planned, the excursions were great, and Liz provided interesting information all along the way. She's super fun and shares her enthusiasm for travel. She is flexible to the needs and ideas of her group and attentive to everyone. We loved our e-bike excursion through Interlaken and had wonderful experiences everyday. We definitely want to travel with Liz again in the future.

Liz did a fantastic job arranging our tour of Switzerland Oct of 2023. She took us to the most beautiful cities and arranged so many fun excursions. We stayed in very nice hotels and ate at great restaurants. She has the best personality, so happy and positive and so fun to be around. I will definitely go on a other trip with her!

I went on an Italy trip with Liz and it was beyond fantastic! Liz took great care to make sure all of the people in our group were happy and well taken care of. She provided excellent excursion options, and had everything booked and ready when we got there. She is a joy to travel with and you can tell she loves what she does and she loves the people she travels with. Traveling with a group was way more fun than I thought it would be and it was great to not have to worry about all the little details of traveling abroad- Liz did all of that!
